If there is one country where freedom and democracy have 'exploded' in its iconography, it is Portugal, after April 25, 1974. On the walls, in the streets, in the houses, on the floor, at the table, on the lapels of jackets, over overalls, on the helmets of construction sites and factories, using all materials: paint, paper, cloth, plastic, glass, metal, acetate, canvas, clay, iron, stencil, for press releases and graffiti, all forms of ceramics, postage stamps, etc...
The physical memory of April 25, 1974, repeated year after year, is a recreation of its values of freedom and democracy. The Ephemera Archive holds a vast and diverse amount of these political materials, of which we would like to highlight those intended to preserve the memory of the Revolution.
